Alongside her career as a performer, Abigail Petersen is a dedicated educator and mentor committed to developing the next generation of singers and musicians. She is a Jazz Voice Lecturer at the South African College of Music, UCT and serves as a Vocal Coach for the Beyond Busking Project, an initiative of the Western Cape Arts Festival that supports and develops emerging artists. Abigail is also a respected adjudicator, having served on judging panels for competitions including the Fine Music Radio (FMR) Music Competition, V&A Waterfront High School Band Slam and the Stellenbosch University National Ensemble Competition. Through her teaching, workshops, and mentorship, she combines technical excellence with creativity and artistic expression, empowering singers to develop confidence, musicianship, and their own authentic artistic voice.
